Dunes and Duchess

Michael Partenio and Stacy Kunstel (pictured) are the team behind Dunes and Duchess, a line of candelabras that was launched in August 2010. The line has since expanded to include lamps and sconces in the same iconic candelabra shape. All of the pieces are handcrafted in Connecticut, and Kunstel and Partenio drill and sand the pieces themselves. www.dunesandduchess.com

Framburg Lighting

Framburg’s entire product line is made in the United States — more specifically, at the company’s factory in Bellwood, IL. The company’s work dates back to 1905 and has been used all over the world. The Bradburn Gallery

Part of the Made in America Collection — the company’s first line entirely sourced in the United States, which debuted last fall — the Caspian Sea lamp has a custom coral-shaped finial that is cast from real coral and hand-finished in the company’s Atlanta factory. www.bradburngallery.com

Sedgefield by Adams

For more than 50 years, Sedgefield by Adams has been manufacturing portable lamps in High Point, NC, including the Ashcroft solid wood table lamp, which is turned, wired and assembled at the company’s factory and topped with one of Sedgefield’s own shades. www.sedgefieldbyadams.com

Thumprints

Last fall, Thumprints introduced a new line of ceramic mini-lamps that are all made in the United States. CEO and designer Allison Davis found a local potter who makes the lamp bodies, and the shades are also manufactured domestically. The Pufff Daddy drop pendants use a blown-glass alternative called Alument®, Condor Lighting’s proprietary material that is 66 percent lighter than glass but 10 times stronger.
